Dr Sarah Morante

Sarah is a Tennis Australia Club Professional coach and has been coaching tennis for over 25 years (obviously started when she was a toddler), with the past 16 years spent at Cooper Park. Over this time Sarah has worked with countless players who span a wide range of ages and playing standards, which has taught her there is no single formula to coaching. Accordingly, Sarah takes a highly individualised approach, working with each player in a way that maximises enjoyment and improvement. This has also meant she loves the coaching as much today as when she started.

Sarah has played tennis at National level and is an exercise and sport scientist with a PhD in exercise physiology. She has conducted research, funded by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) that reviewed and established the Extreme Heat Policy for the Grand Slams and WTA Tour. She presented at the 8th International Congress of the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science and the 2006 Commonwealth Games Conference.

She has lectured at various organisations including the University of Sydney where she developed the High Performance Coaching unit, ‘Tennis Coaches Australia and the Fitness Institute of Australia’. She has published articles in scientific journals and mainstream media, and presented at international conferences.

Sarah is a Tennis Australia Club Professional coach and has been coaching tennis for over 20 years (obviously started when she was a toddler), with the past 13 spent at Cooper Park.
